The Early Start – the Young Age of 14
“I was so serious at the age of 14! I was renting my own house... Living my own life in Cavite. Broken family ako. Walang pera panggastos. Magulo sa bahay.”
JP’s story is the very common narrative we hear in our nation, the Philippines. Who hasn’t heard of that all too familiar line?
“Kailangan kong tulungan ang magulang ko. Kailangan ko pa-aralin ang kapatid ko.”
Hence JP took on the role of a young a theater actor in Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) at the tender age of 14. As a theater actor, he earned the favor of Ms. Noemi Mopia, the owner of a Production Company. Ms. Mopia eventually took him in and promoted him to become the Marketing Director of the production outfit. As head of Marketing, he was able to turn ideas into currency, scripts into money. He brought in much profit. After 9 years at the age of 23, at a time when he thought he reached his “peak”, the questions started cropping up. From Employment to Business Entrepreunership. “Eto na ba talaga gusto ko sa buhay ko?”
